My name is Cate Andrews. I am an illustrator and designer based in Seattle, Washington. My work is flowing, florid, and bold, encompassing everything traditional from graphite, ink and gouache, to digital tools like Procreate, and the Adobe Suite. I love all things including sunshine, the ocean, flowers, and long, night-time walks. These pleasures and sensations are reflected in an alluring yet intense depictions of outsized plants, flowing figures, and languid, dream-like landscapes woven through by vivid colour. This approach has led to working with clients like NYTimes, Oprah, Wall Street Journal, Healthybaby, Food Culture Collective, PLANSPONSOR/PLANADVISER, Barron’s, Sierra Magazine, and a few other nice folks.

I’ve worked on projects within the realms of editorial illustration, branding, package design, hand-drawn typography, surface pattern design, assets for integrated responsive web design, content creation for social media, book publishing, poster design/layout, and even some interior design! I’m always looking to expand my project scope with something new and challenging.
